’Rose’ is currently my very favourite painting. A visit to Paris and bringing home a tube of the uniquely complex Sennelier Brun Madère - an extraordinary tube of a rose-brown Madder led to the creation of a new and unexplored colour and tonal range. Painted using the Italian Renaissance Glazing technique where transparent layer upon layer is applied over many weeks. ‘Rose’ is a completely unique painting that is impossible to reproduce in a photograph. Varnished with a satin UV protection layer ensuring that the painting will be preserved for centuries (!). Framed in a simple black tray frame.
